Designing and analysing an ultrasonic inspection system in concrete
Quality inspection in construction structure is an important factor for safety reason nowadays. The application of ultrasonic wave in a non destructive testing technique may give a fast and simple test method in the quality inspection. In this project, the author developed an ultrasonic measurement system miniature to provide a non destructive measurement system to measure quality of a construction concrete. The author undertook the design and implementation of such quality measurement system with the aim to reduce the cost of manual measurement in the construction structure. The ultrasonic sensor is used to transmit a wave which will be received by a receiver and transit time of the wave in the structure will be measured. The transducer used in this project is LHQ-40 Khz. Transit time will be count by microcontroller. Transit time of ultrasonic wave in good quality concrete is faster than in low quality concrete.
