Integration between connectionless transport protocol (cltp) and connectionless network protocol (clnp) output in aeronautical telecommunication network (atn)
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) recommends ATN to be implemented in Indonesia to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of air traffic management. Hence numbers of ATN routers are needed to cover all areas of the country. However, due to very expensive implementation, now there are only two ATN in Indonesia, one in Jakarta and other in Ujung Pandang. Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi - BPPT) started the research in 2007 to develop its own ATN router, which will be able to decrease country expense. This development is started by implementing the CLNP as the network protocol based on ISO/IEC 8473-1 and the CLTP and Connection Oriented Transport Protocol (COTP) as the transport protocol afterwards. Nevertheless, both CLTP and COTP currently are implemented as standalone modules. The main objective of this thesis is to integrate the transport protocol CLTP output to the network protocol CLNP. The integration has been implemented using C programming language as a kernel module base on ISO/IEC 8602 and loaded manually into the Linux kernel 2.6.21.5. Moreover, all the functions have been successfully integrated into ATN module.
