Designing and analyzing automated turret system using computer vision
Nowadays, computer vision is a growing field of study. One of the sub topics in computer vision is object recognition and locating. Yet, many of the recognition and locating system used require manual selection of the target by the operator. Though simpler than their automated counterpart, the system is limited to the operators' physical capability. As a result, a simple yet effective automated recognition and locating system is required.rnAlong with the rapid emergence of the recognition and locating system, the advancement of turret systems follows. Current turret systems are mainly use outdoor and use complex array of sensor to ensure accuracy and avoid unwanted human casualties. Furthermore, most turret systems are relatively fixed and armed with customized firing unit. A more cost effective unit with relatively mass produced firing unit would then be desired for indoor operation.
