Designing and constructing speed and torque measurement system for testing low power dc motor
DC motor is one type of electric motor that used to convert an electrical energy to arnmechanical energy. The results of the conversion are rotational speed and rotational torquernthat is commonly used in many applications in the world. However, in Indonesian marketrnmost of the DC motors are second hand which not provided by detailed informationrnThe purpose of this thesis is to construct a measurement device that can reveal low powerrnpermanent magnet DC motor variable such as speed, torque, and current. The methodology isrnby controlling the voltage supply of the permanent magnet DC motor, and the voltage supplyrnof the electromagnetic brake, those variables can be measured. This thesis focuses on thernanalysis of each sensor, the mechanical construction of the motor holder and also thernprogramming structure in microcontroller and computer.
