Analyzing people behaviour towards social networking sites: the empirical study on facebook phenomenon related to security issues and Indonesia cyber law violation

People are social creatures and like to communicate with others. That kind ofrnsocial needs encourage the emergence and development of social networkingrnsites. With social networking sites, people are able to be in touch with an oldrnacquaintance or someone new, share stories and information, and evenrnexpress their personality over profiles. Those alluring capabilities make thernsignificant growth and the popularity of social networking on the Internet.rnHowever, as social networking become more popular and widely used,rnsecurity problems will also emerge. User?s privacy breach, phising, and thernloss of important data because of malware spread around the sites arernexamples of security problems. Furthermore, the growth of Internet users make the information flow is uncontrollable, and people demand for protectionrnwhen doing online transactions as the e-commerce become more popular.rnThe objective is to map people behaviors into security and / or violations ofrncyber law that needs to be concerned. This include suggestions and solutionsrnthat are needed for the Internet user to safely access the web and ideas tornimprove the cyber law?s content without disregard the freedom of expression.rnUsing quantitative research method combined with descriptive data analysisrnapproach, the raw data from the observation are analyzed, calculated andrnthen shown as statistic data with graphical illustration to give an easyrnvisualization of the certain condition.rnThe expected result is going to be used for useful information regarding thernsecurity and cyber law issues.
