The analysis of cash flow management and source of finance. A case study of companies in retail industry
The purpose of this research is to find out the management of cash flow in tested companiesrnin retail industry. This study also discusses the possibility of the companies in requiringrnadditional loan or other source of financing from the financing activities, in order to fulfill thernmatured financial obligations. In addition, the research also analyze whether the ability torncover the financial obligations has a relationship with the liquidity measurement ratio,rnworking capital components, sales and net income or not.rnThis research is concerning the cash flow management in six public listed companies in retailrnindustry. The data is found in the financial statement which accessed from the IndonesianrnStock Exchange and analyzed through five years span, from 2005 to 2009, annually. Thernfindings obtained in this research show that most of the operating cash flow in the testedrncompanies is adequate in order to meet the financial obligations. However, they also needrnadditional source of fund with the purpose of extending their business line. Furthermore, arnrelationship is occurred between the ability to finance the obligations and the components ofrnliquidity measurement.
