Design and construction of automatic chicken feeder distribution system model with weight average display
Chicken poultry has become one of the main commodity in Indonesia and can be found in almost every area in this country. In this globalization era, the poultry farmer must prepare themselves to face overseas competitor competing the same market share. Adoption of modern technology in the poultry is one of the key issue in improving farming efficiency of poultry. With this consideration, the author feels challenged to develop a distribution system model for chicken poultry. The purpose of this system is to make a model of chicken feeder distribution system that will able to distribute chicken feed from the storage tank to feeder plate efficiently using mechatronics approach. Here, the feed will be stored in a main storage tank. Then from this tank, the feeder will distribute the feed to the feeder plate for the chicken. HMI will be implemented to the system as control panel and to display the content of the storage and the average weight of the chicken day-by-day.
