Design and construction of an existing automatic granular packaging system
In packaging industries, the main targets are produce product as fast as possible and consistent. If the process is done by the human, it is very difficult to achieve maximum result. That problem will be solved by the solution on this thesis. It is about to prototype and redesigns an automatic packaging machine. There are three main processes in the packaging which are filling, dozing, and sealing. This packaging system will has features such as increase the production rate than manual production and produce product with consistent weight. The methods are using dozing cylinder for dozing process and fast sealer for sealing process. All the processes also will be run synchronously in order to increase productivity. Finally, testing of each subsystem will be conducted before testing the whole system. The result of this packaging system is quite satisfactory. It works like an existing packaging machine in general. The subsystems can work properly but several parts need to be modified so the productivity and the result of this system can be increased.
