Designing and constructing automated control system for ideal swiftlet house environmental condition
The purpose of this thesis is to monitor and control the environmental condition of a swiftlet house. The digital humidity and temperature sensor SHT15 will sense the temperature and relative humidity in surrounding, sending the data serially to the microcontroller to be evaluated and processed. The action to control the micro habitat parameters will be carried out by two DC brushless fans and two water pumps. All the information will be sent and displayed through a user friendly HMI (Human Machine Interface). The user will be able to control the swiftlet house virtually via HMI, either in automatic mode or manual mode. In automatic mode, all the set points have been predefined in the programming and it will keep evaluate until it reach the ideal condition. While in manual mode, the user can control all the actuators manually. Additional features in this control system are camera integrated in the HMI, security sensor to prevent from thieves, and a remote-accessible control system through internet connection.
