Designing and constructing a working model of kicir-kicir ride
The purpose of this project is to design and construct a working model of ?Kicir- Kicir? ride in Dunia Fantasi, or as known as Power Surge. This amusement ride is interesting and challenging as a true application of mechatronics. It is an excellent ride to learn and apply theories with synergy of the mechanical, electrical, and programming aspects. Furthermore this is a valuable edutainment media in studying about bearings that is commonly found in most amusement ride involving mechanical movement such as rotating and spinning. The rotary movement mechanism of this model is driven by geared DC motors and others supporting mechanism. All motors and movement sequences are controlled by a microcontroller. Finally, the whole aspects are integrated and run to evaluate its performance and function. It shows that this working model really resembles the real Power Surge (Kicir-Kicir) ride.
