Promoting muara jambi temple compound site for inclusion in world heritage list of unesco
The Muarajambi Temple Compound Site is one of the richest and oldest archeological site in Indonesia, located in Jambi Province. This temple was nominated as a mixed site in World Heritage List of UNESCO, but still as tentative list. The goal of Indonesian government is to make Muarajambi Temple Compound Site insribed as World Heritage Site of UNESCO in 2015. Therefore, several promotional activities should be implemented to support the inclusion of this underdeveloped archeological site. This thesis is the combination of descriptive and explanatory research and categorized as inductive research. The purposes of the this research are to study the way a cultural heritage such Muarajambi Temple Compound Site could be inscribed in World Heritage List of UNESCO, to explore the tourism potential of the site, and to promote it as national?s cultural landscape in order to support it as a nomination of World Heritage Site of UNESCO.
