Building and analyzing of dc-dc converter / controller for base transmission system (bts)
Photovoltaic is now widely used. Photovoltaic system consists of three main componentsrnto make it work. The three components are solar cell panel, battery, and load. The inputrnand output of battery must be controlled to provide a good power supply. Good powerrnsupply can be acquired with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) based controller. Arnconstant 48 volts of output voltage is required to drive the equipment at Base Transmission System (BTS). Because of instability of the sun power, the controller needs to maintain the constant output voltage. By sensing the output voltage, the duty ratio of metal?oxide? semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) Bridge can be adjusted. Therefore by adjusting the duty ratio, the voltage of the output can be maintained at desired value. The system includes ADC to read the output voltage and give input to the FPGA controller. The controller will compare the output voltage and desired voltage. After that it determines whether it is the same or not. Finally the controller will have to adjust the output voltage by changing the duty ratio.
