Design of automated class room video recording with spokesperson tracking for documentation purpose
This thesis project is intended to design an automated class room video recordingrnwith spokesperson tracking for documentation purpose. The system uses 4rnmicrophones as the sensor to track the sound signals origin based on beamformingrntheory, 1 webcam as the camera to capture the video, 2 Arduino Duemilanove boardrnas the microcontrollers, 2 motors (servo and stepper) to orientate the webcamrnvertically and horizontally while the microphones keep tracking the location of thernsound source. There will be a laptop as the media to do the simulation and record thernvideo. In order to achieve the objective of finding the location and position of arnspokesperson location, the TDOA (Time delayed of arrival) technique is applied onrnthe system. Then after the position of the spokesperson has been detected, thernmicrocontroller will drive the motor to orientate the webcam facing forward to therndirection of incoming sound source. It will keep tracking the spokesperson locationrnwhile the webcam keep recording the video of the lecture for the documentationrnpurpose.
