Designing and constructing an automated mobile assets management for cargo vehicle using rfid
The automated mobile assets management is a combination of RFID assetsrnmonitoring system and mobile tracking system which can monitor every asset duringrndelivery process. The purpose of this thesis project is to prevent loss of assets inrncargo?s container, to track and to remotely control the cargo vehicle. The automatedrnmobile assets management enables the identification of all assets in the cargo vehiclernby implementing Framed Slotted ALOHA as RFID tag anti-collision algorithm. Everyrnasset in the cargo vehicle is embedded with an active tag. In addition, the automatedrnmobile assets management also enables to monitor the location of cargo vehicle byrnusing GPS receiver. Data gathered from those processes will be transmitted to thernTCP server via GPRS connection. The automated mobile assets management can berncontrolled and monitored by accessing the TCP server. The implementation of thisrnsystem can improve the accuracy, efficiency, flexibility and security of deliveryrnprocess for cargo vehicle.
