Analysis of soekarno hatta airport runway capacity by using discrete event simulation method
Soekarno Hatta International Airport is one of the biggest airport in Indonesia. It is located in Banten, Indonesia. Soekarno Hatta airport is build since 1984 and it?s operating 2 parallel runways to accommodate the landing and take off process of an aircraft. By the years the number of aircraft movement and the demand of air travel is increasing, and Soekarno Hatta Airport runway is predicted to reach its maximum capacity in several years.rnThe purpose of this thesis is to make a prediction when the aircraft movement will exceeded the maximum runway capacity and make a computer simulation model on the airport runway system. The purpose of using computer simulation system is to analyze the system behavior and find the queuing times of the landing and take off aircraft, especially in holding and taxiway. The result of the thesis is the simulation model of current runway system and the proposed runway system, with the comparison of the queuing time of the aircraft in both systems.
