This thesis project is targeted to generate a recommendation distribution system forrnDistribution Center PT. Matahari Putra Prima Tbk with DRP method by make a fixedrndistribution schedule and minimize the distribution cost while supported by analysisrnof Discrete Event Simulation.rnThe five logistics fronts are distribution, third-party logistics, information technology,rntransportation and warehousing. Transportation and warehousing are primary concernrnof this DRP and DES model. This thesis project is focusing to centralize therndistribution and planning process. Transportation lead time and distribution cost fromrndistribution cost need to be considered to supply on time to stores. Based on therncalculation, the total of distribution cost and the storage cost with the DRP methodrnhas the lower cost than with the calculation using the company?s distribution system.
