Market feasibility study of the international market of coffee oil, with focus on the lampung coffee industry

Sjafei, Netta J. - Personal Name; Widjaja, Julian - Personal Name;

Coffee producers came up with many ways turning unwanted coffee beans into sellable goods, such as coffee oil. This way, coffee beans are not wasted and they found a world of new usages, including bio-fuel. According to journals, Brazil is the main producer of this product. Now, that technique is perfected to be implemented in Indonesia. This research will be a market analysis on Lampung coffee oil. However, certain focuses are taken in this study. It explores the use of coffee oil only in flavoring and It is important that while reading through this study, to always keep in mind that this research is just a starting point for further studies. This research is background, on what further actions and considerations to be taken in the Lampung coffee oil industry. fragrance market and it is focusing itself on the biggest consumer of Lampung coffee oil. Some data are the result of analogies due to restrictions in the data collection process. Through analogies, it is found that the demand for coffee oil in the international market is unique. This is due to the high price of the coffee oil itself. This leads to only certain products use coffee oil in flavoring. Using best available data, it is predicted that the international demand will be the same. The market for coffee oil is considered niche, both for international and local markets. Even the local market is so small, that it is only beginning to step into its introductory stage here. This is due to the very small number of high end gourmet food companies in Indonesia. Thus the study focused itself on Germany, the biggest potential market of Lampung coffee oil, to analyze the market better. The demand and market maybe look small but that doesn?t mean that it is notrnprofitable. It happens because it is viewed through the point of view of a mass producer. New techniques of exploiting profit should be explored through this unique market.
