The objectives of this research is to analyze and describe the effect of media reporting on Legal Proceeding of the Gayus Tambunan case and government efforts in handling the case.rnThe use of theories for this thesis includes basic mass communication theories,Individual Differences Theory, Mass communication model and mass communication effect.rnThis study uses qualitative method with descriptive study as the research design. The use of qualitative method is to know about the effect of media reporting on Legal Proceding of Gayus Tambunan case and what is the role of media in handling corruption case. The descriptive study is used to describe the process and the research data was obtained through interview with Public Relation of Tangerang Court, judge, clerks, dan journalist, and literature study.rnThe result shows the influence of the media attention and preaching to the behavior change for the law official staff on the legal proceeding of Gayus case.
