What are key factors that affect the credibility of news anchors in Indonesia?

The credibility of news anchors has a significant role in determining the credibility of news televisions. Following this, it is crucial to know the key factors that have an influence on the credibility of news anchors. Based on this, then the objective of this study are (i) to identify key factors that affect the credibility of a news anchor in Indonesia and (ii) to identify the most important key factor that affect the credibility of a news anchor in Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive statistic based on the survey involving 278 students of Swiss German University.rnThe results of analysis show that there are four factors affecting the credibility of a news anchor in Indonesia, which are experience, attractiveness, educational background and age Furthermore, the three most important key factors that have influence on the credibility of a news anchor in Indonesia are experience, attractiveness and educational background.rnMeanwhile, gender was said as has no influence on the credibility of a news anchor inrnIndonesia. Therefore, firstly in the recruitment process of a news anchor in Indonesia, the television news station have to prioritize experience, attractiveness and educational background as the main criteria. Secondly, for the existing news anchors, the television have to provide capacity building program to improve the level of experience, attractiveness and educational background.
