TV as the most attractive medium has a great power to make its viewers want tornspend hours in front of it. Moreover, the TV programs like Reality Shows have madernpeople believe that they really capture the reality of life.rnBy using Reality Show Termehek-mehek as a case study, this thesis aims to analyzernthe role of Television in replacing parents as the primary agent of socialization. Thernfindings of this research reveal that due to the absence of parents, children turn to TVrnto learn about right and wrong and how to behave in the real world. Although, TVrnprograms can bring both positive and negative effects to children - depend on howrnchildren absorb the information from TV ? the findings also reveal that those childrenrnwho watch TV in company of their parents have a better understanding about what isrnreal and what is scripted from this TV program.
