Application of image processing technique for skin texture analysis

Analyzing skin texture is very useful for creation and invention of cosmetic products. There are some methods needed to analyze the skin. In this study, skin texture was analyzed by an image analysis technique with computer assisted. The objective of this study was to analyze the texture of the skin (skin depth and roughness) by skin visiometer as the device of skin texture analyzer. In order to do so, the research was done by preparation of silicon mixture and replication of the human skin, image processing by the projection of replica in the device, and result interpretation. The projected skin replicas were resulted and the roughness was measured. Therefore, this research showed the process of skin texture projection and its imaging, which using skin visiometer.
