Productivity evaluation of Swiss German University academic staff: an application of data envelopment analysis

A university is an institution of higher education and research which grants academic degrees in a variety of subjects. A university is an organization that provides both undergraduate education and postgraduate education. Annual performance of university must be evaluated by government department of education. Swiss German University has not established method for evaluating productivity of work load of lecturer. This thesis project will analyze method for evaluating productivity of work load of lecturer. This study is aiming to measure a university to establish the performance of lecturer based on work load of lecturer. The evaluation of the analysis will be adopted from knowledge asset, knowledge management, knowledge worker, intellectual capital. The productivity evaluation is presented by using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA).
