Guideline development and feasibility study to implement cloud computing technology in Swiss German University
Cloud Computing is a new form of information technology. Migrating to Cloud Computing needs specific guideline. There is particular guideline that might be useful, yet it is still not so helping educational institution to implement Cloud Computing. The research tries to covers that guideline development while developing the new concept of Cloud Computing Control model based on COBIT framework as the compact feasibility study. The assessment uses 3 COBIT Control Processes that are related to Cloud Computing; Define a IT Strategic Planning, Manage IT Investment, Manage Third-Party Services. The result shows for each process, Maturity Level that has been achieved are 2.29, 2.48, and 2.39. It also shows that this guideline development needs to be continued to cover several untouched phases.
