Promoting lombok to become a major tourism destination
Lombok is a destination which located in West Nusa Tenggara, it is the neighbour of Bali. In fact they have tourism products that are almost the same; they offer nature and cultures. Indonesia is known for its supernatural beliefs and has various cultures, which create diversities. Indonesia is rich of resources and its natural beauty, but unfortunately, not all the regions in Indonesia are well-known through all over the world. West Nusa Tenggara is a province that is still in a developing stage, therefore, there need to be good marketing strategies, especially promotion. Excellent promotions need to be done in order to let the whole people heard about this amazing tourism destination and experience the feel to be in Lombok itself. There are still things in which Lombok has to develop more so that it become a pleasing destination. This thesis is a qualitative research which is descriptive. The datas gain are from the primary and secondary datas. The primary data is gained from interviews and observation; while the secondary data is from articles, internet, journals and books. The interviews are taken from 3 parties, they are travel bureau in Mataram, stakeholders (travel agent and hotels), and the local people itself. Pictures are being used to illustrate the real condition of Lombok.
