Increasing productivity at PT. Garuda maintenance facility Aeroasia by using theory of constraint

After recovered from the worst global economic recession, the FAA predicts that airline industry will grow for a long time. This condition is supported by the increase of global economic growth. To prepare the future condition that was predicted by FAA, company must improve their current capacity by finding and solving the critical problem in the system. The Theory of Constraint is used to find the critical problem and to find the solution of the problem in Base Maintenance Facility at PT.GMF AeroAsia. The Theory of Constraints is a tool for continuous improvement. The recommendation of improvement is the result of the five focusing steps of on-going improvement that becomes methodology in Theory of Constraints. The recommendation for improvement in this paper can increase the current productivity and also increase the current profit of PT.Garuda Maintenance Facility AeroAsia.
