Improving excellence of human resource function at a global company: a case study of PT. Mecoindo Itron Indonesia
This research is to analyze the implementation of Human Resource function in a global company and how its improvement can support the company towards human resource excellence in operation department. This research also shows the method and strategy to improve human resource function towards human resource excellence in operation department and which function has the most significance influence towards human resource excellence in operation department. The secondary and primary data are used in quantitative and qualitative approach. Primary data are gathered using in-depth interview with managers also questionnaires that are distributed in the managerial level in the company. According to this research, training and development is the most significant function to bring company towards human resource excellence in operation department. Result indicates that by focusing on improvement in training and development, human resource department will increase their contribution in supporting company. Thus, management should focus on developing the employee to support company towards human resource excellence in operation department and also can be concluded that human resource pays highly significant contribution on supporting company towards human resource excellence in operation department.
