Developing SGUs Existing Festo Mps Simulated in Technomatixs Jack and Modbus Rtu Based Controller That Is Integrated Into Fms Simulator System Via Wifi
The purpose of this thesis is to explore the capability of Tecnomatix and to develop SGUs existing Festo MPS inside a simulation with an external controller. the simulation is developed with Tecnomatixs Jack the controller is developed with Qt.Virtual models are created on all four stations of existing FESto Modular Production System (MPS) and Mitsubishi Robot RV-M1. Data communications between PCs is done via Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Socket while the data packet is constructed in Modbus Remote Terminal Unit (Modbus RTU) protocol. the Modbus data packet will be interpreted by an interface program and it will pass the recognizable command for the simulator to execute. This thesis also proposes the use of ack as a learning tool for mechatronics students particularly in subject Mechatronics System Design.Simulation can help students to better understand the system that they are trying to build.
