Solok is a notable area located in West Sumatera, which has been known with their traditional dance called Tari Piring that probably one of the most popular dances. This research is intend to know the potential and tourism attraction development to be exist and find the way to make Tari Piring known by the large community. This research is a descriptive study. the methods to be used are qualitative and supported with quantitative data using observation, interview and questionnaire as research techniques. Source of data are primary and secondary. This research shows; the Tari Piring history knowledge are still low, the potential for this dance is high because lots of demand for dancer and audiences and representative government of West Sumatera not provide proper facilities like dance studio, budget and promotion.
