Correlation of Inventory Productivity to the Stock Performance of the Retailing Industry in Indonesia in the Period of 2009-2013
An analysis of the relationship inventory productivity and the stock performance in the Indonesian retailing industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange strives to provide the investors with the consciousness of inventory productivity impacts to the stock return. Previous studies conducted in the other countries encourage the author to do similar researches in retail companies listed on the IDX. Besides to measure the correlation between inventory productivity and the stock performance, this thesis also tries to determine whether such correlation is strong enough to influence the stock performance. the result shows that all of the hypotheses are accepted. However, there is only a weak correlation between these variables. Thus, it is inaccurate to predict the stock returns using inventory productivity in the Indonesian retailing industry.
