The study of automotive ergonomics focused on pedals design of car using pedal force sensor and jack simulation and it's impact on drivers fatigue

Saraswati, Triarti - Personal Name; Prajogo, Tutuko - Personal Name; Abimontro, Nikolaus Kris - Personal Name;

The amount of the vehicle on the road is getting bigger from time to time and there are no sufficient road to provide all of the vehicle. Non-sufficient road to provide all the vehicle in certain of time makes the road become traffic. A traffic condition can trigger fatigue. This research studied to build a system to measure fatigue on the foot. A pedal force sensor measure how big the force that the driver?ÇÖs foot need to give to the pedal, and the result will correlate with the questionnaire to the respondent. The analysis is done using statistical analysis and Jack Human Modelling. Statistical analysis use to find the relation between the design pedals of the car with the comfort level of the foot. These result will be compared. Result shown that design pedal of the car have impact on foot of the driver?ÇÖs which cause fatigue and in the end it can trigger road accident.
