IT service management for SGU's information system based on ITIL standard
IT is a fundamental component of virtually aspect of the University mission. Teaching, learning, research, service and administration all rely on IT and use IT intensively. As such, information technology has a major impact on organizational outcomes and represents significant campus investments. IT is also a key enabler of transformational change, IT changes the way we are able to work and learn. The problem to be examined involves the IT Service Management of SGU?s Information System with reference of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) which is currently being seen not too crucial thing to the SGU business activity and act just for supporting activity which actually could be the foundation and enabler of successful business . This condition can be seen that SGU could be still remaining without the presence of the IT. The primary purpose of this research thesis is to find the best practice of an IT Service Management of SGU?s information System for which is based on the ITIL standards in order to be the business enabler and become the foundation of the university to run and support the business operational and become the business competitive.
