Supervisory competencies and their effects on productivity of manufacturing company in PT. Framas Indonesia

The main purpose of this research is to study and analyse the correlation effect from supervisor competency to the productivity in pt. Framas indonesia production department. It is examines the factors that most influencing to the productivity performance, the factor most significant to the supervisor competency and the strong value that most important to the supervisor in the production department. The past company history on productivity issue caused the cost generated from such workers over time, high scrap rate, higher down time and include a negative loss from the transportation charge related to delivered time. The company is measured that productivity generated through a measurement system that applied in the group of company which called an oee (overall equipment effectiveness). Analysis was applied to examine both primary and secondary data. Primary data consisted of questionnaires distributed to two hundreds (200) employees which was covers randomly selected from the number of labour in pt. Framas indonesia. Meanwhile, the secondary data were collected from the internal sources for order received, oee and kpi to support this research. According to the model built in this study which is consist of multi indicator variables there by structural equation model (sem) is employed to test the hypotheses. This study found that complexity and flexibility has significant correlation that the supervisory and standard operating procedure (sop) are the most influencing factor to the productivity, the discipline is the most value to the strong supervisor, the leadership is the most significant factor to the supervisor competency, and finally the analysis result is proven that supervisory competency is the most positively effect to the productivity performance in pt. Framas indonesia production department. Therefore, this finding is recommended to be maintained and improved the most significant and influencing factors above to create higher productivity and develop a market share as one of the pt. Framas indonesia strengths.
