Analyzing and designing database structure for university integrated sstem application: case study at Swiss German University
As higher education is more competitive than ever before, the use of university integrated system gives possibility to deliver better level of learning management. This thesis discusses about the database design for a university integrated system application, based on a case study at swiss german university.rnrnThis thesis gives an initial database model structure design that can be implemented into the university integrated system application. rnrnThe design will follow database design methodology and brings the conceptual design, logical design, and physical design. The design is checked against normalization levels method to avoid as much as possible data redundancy and data inconsistency.rnrnThe conceptual design gives the design representation based on entity relationship (er) model. The logical design gives that table structure based on the er model implementation, while the physical design gives various tables and views creation.
