Analysis, Design and Implementation of an Integrated Transaction Reconciliation System to Accelerate and Improve the Transaction Reconciliation Process in PT. Asuransi Astra Buana

Zuardi, Gunawan - Personal Name; Setiasmo - Personal Name;

In most companies, order systems and payment systems are not well integrated. The process of reconciling electronic payments is usually manually intensive process. This phenomenon could lead to failure in identifying missing payments or opportunities to re-capture revenues, the resources required to actively manage reconciliation grow with sales volume, and inability to quickly detect and correct system and process gaps before they become financial problems.nIntegrating order system data (core system), payment information, and customer notification data via a reconciliation system and automate identification of discrepancies could streamline the business process. The payoffs of these actions could: increase the ability to identify opportunities and take actions to recapture revenue faster, and do so with higher probability of success, reduce manual processing and more efficient use of resources, and improve timely, systematic detection of order problems and ability to tune fraud management systems.nThis research is focusing on the studying current practice and developing the prototype of reconciliation system application for further implementation in the company.
