Securing Web Application: Case Study of Eagency at PT. Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia
To enhance the service level of its agents, PT. Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia introduces an eAgency system which is a web-based application. With the increasing number of network threats, security becomes one of the most important aspects to be considered in implementing the eAgency application. In this thesis, we design a web security to protect the confidentiality of information and data published by an eAgency application. We implement a secure infrastructure by using two firewalls and an intrusion prevention system (IPS) to protect the networks. In particular, we propose a new technique to hide file location that stores sensitive information and data from being accessed by unauthorized. During experiments that we have conducted for one month, the monitoring reports show that our systems were frequently attacked however none of the attacks was successful. This result proves our proposed technique can secure the eAgency application.
