Determination of Products Portfolio to Improve Business Competitiveness at PT Siemens Indonesia Cilegon Factory
Globalization and competitive pressure urge the Siemens Power Generation to change of business organization to be able survive and win in the business competition. The consequences of organization changes is the Siemens Power Generation group decided that PT Siemens Indonesia Cilegon Factory become a parts of Siemens Power Generation P6 Feeder Plant. With this new organization Siemens Cilegon Factory have to support the function of P6 Feeder Plant to serve the other of Power Generation division such as Gas Turbine Division, Generator Division, Industrial turbine Division and as well as Steam Turbine Division . nOne of new strategy of PT Siemens Indonesia Cilegon factory is to widening product portfolio and customer base with using of current capacity and flexibility to maximize the revenue to increase the profit. In connection to this strategy, the thesis is concern with how to determine of new products portfolio and its combination with approach of quantitative method (Linear Programming and Boston Matrix) to develop strategy of Products Portfolio. These new Products Portfolio improve the competitiveness of PT Siemens Indonesia Cilegon Factory.
