Applying Process Management Concept in Achieving a Concurrent Safe Java Application
Many applications or systems in this Internet era are built with distributed design in nature. Most of the systems use a single or limited number of resources, either a database or link to older system or other hardware such as printer, in other these resources are shared. This limited resource is due to security and economic reason. The smaller number of resource to maintain the easier it is to control, thus making it more secure. As for economic reason, it is obvious that having less server or printer is more economical.nMost of time, this distributed system and sharing resources produce problems such as race condition and deadlocks. To deal with these problems we look deeper into process management to identify why the problems occur and what can be done to prevent them. Even in the distributed and networked system environment, the servers manage the tasks or prcosses that was given to them. In this thesis, we discuss the process concept and then to describe features of processes. This thesis discuss about the implementation of this process into a simple application, and about communication in client-server system.nThis entire process concept will be implemented into report creation moduls. nThese common modul are implemented on most company's system. In this implementation, we will see implementation of concurrency problem solution, uniquely or common to each modul. By dealing with the problems, we will be able to design a pattern or framework and provide options to various types of systems.
