Analysis of consumer behavior in small food retailers: empirical study in BSD City
BSD City as a new part of urban development provides a new market for new business. This study is focusing on consumer behavior of small food retailers or restaurants in food court located in BSD City area. The purpose of this study is to analyze the consumer behavior of BSD City consumers in small food retailers, analyze consumer purchase intention based on food variety, food quality and physical attributes of establishment and find the correlation between consumer behavior and consumer purchase intention.rnQuestionnaire with close ended question is distributed to BSD City food court in Giant and ITC BSD. From the questionnaire, the consumer profile of BSD City small food retailers can be known. Correlation levels between variables are showed through data analysis using AMOS software. Based on data analysis, variable which has the strongest significance to consumer behavior is age of consumers while sanitation and hygiene of establishment give highest significance to consumer purchase intention. Surprisingly there is no strength in correlation between BSD City?s consumer behavior and consumer purchase intention.
