A comparative study of two generation leadership communication style

The purposes of this thesis are to analyze the communication style that used by senior and junior leader at PT. XYZ. This thesis also describe about communication in leadership in a framework of situational leadership theory byhershy&blancard. The research is done in PT. xyz with use qualitative method. The author use questioner to grab statement and score from the employees of PT. XYZ. In the research author found about the leadership style and communication style that used by both leaders in PT. XYZ. the results of the research shows that junior leader tends to use delegatingrnand participating communication style that can improve the performance of the employees in PT. XYZ. Beside it junior leader also use other communication style like ?selling? and ?telling? as much as Senior leader do. From the results can be seen that Junior leader tends to be put more trust to the employees and more involved inrneveryday operation of the company.
