The Effect of butterfly pea leaves beverages in blood glucose level in mice

Diabetes Mellitus is a serious disease faced by many people around the world. Butterfly pea leaves is believed to have hypoglycemia properties. This research was aimed to develop antidiabetic beverage from butterfly pea leaf extract. In the preliminary research , response surface method (RSM) were applied to find the best extraction procedure using three factors: temperature (from 50┬░C until 80┬░C), duration (from 2 hours until 6 hours) , and pH (from 4 until 7). Quadratic models developed for the two responses (total flavonoid and total phenol content).
