Isolation and Cytotoxic Assay of Alkaloid Compounds From Soursop Leaves (ANNonA Muricata L.)
NOTES: CD not availablernThe research investigated the amount of total alkaloid content that can be obtained from various maturity of soursop leaves and extraction temperature. the maturity of soursop leaves were divided into 2 clusters, namely young soursop leaves (4th-6th leaves order) and old soursop leaves (7th-10th leaves order), while the extraction temperature were varied into 50oC, 60oC, 70oC, and 80oC. Through several extraction process, the total alkaloid content extracted from young soursop leaves yielded more total alkaloid content compare to the old soursop leaves. the total alkaloid content acquired from extraction of 23.33 grams powdered young soursop leaves at 50oC was 0.301%, which is equivalent to 0.07 gram. GC-MS analysis detected the presence of alkaloid compounds, namely 4H-Dibenzo[de,g]quinoline-1,9-diol,5,6,6a,7-tetrahydro-2,10-dimethoxy-6-methyl-,(S)- or commonly named isoboldine (C19H21NO4) with molecular weight of 327g/mol. in Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) test, the LC50 value of the sample was 268.55 ppm (
