An Analysis of Performance Management in PT.X and its Influence on Employee Satisfaction - A Case Study
In today's employment market conditions Performance Management is an essential factor in order to be highly competitive, maintain a good relationship with the employees, to retain and develop good people. This case study aims to analyze and to find new opportunities to improve the current Performance Appraisal System.nnThe methodology used, covers the following: problem identification, data collection from literature and from the company, including viewing documents, conducting interviews and employee survey, analysis, identification of possible improvements, after-evaluation cost analysis and a revised performance appraisal system. nnLack of clear guidelines in the forms, often inefficient communication between management and subordinates are some indicators for ineffective Performance Management which results in unmotivated employees and shows unfavorable achievement towards company goals. One main weakness is the absence of target setting. Clear and structured Performance Management System is not in place. nnObjective of the recommended appraisal system is to build a high performance culture based on satisfied employees and customers. Improvements can be made by implementing a suitable and well structured 360 Degree appraisal system. nnOnce these objectives are achieved, the organization, the employees and the customers benefit in form of achieved targets, motivated staff and high quality service. The study shows that the costs incurred after the evaluation are beneficiary for the company.
