Analysis of customers' perception on food safety at traditional restaurant in BSD-Tangerang
Food safety is very important for food service industry but the knowledge is still not very well distributed in Indonesia. Customer perception on food safety depends on their socio-demographic factors and will affect the frequency of dining out to traditional restaurant in BSD. The sample population will include Pasar Modern, BSD and will be measured using likert scale for the questionnaires. From the data collected, it shows that customer perception on food safety and frequency of dining out to Pasar Modern does have a strong but negative correlation, which means if perception is strong, the frequency is low and vice versa. Further analysis revealed that the customer and owner still have very little knowledge on food safety. Therefore, it is highly recommended that food safety should be publicly exhibited efficiently.
