The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the effectiveness of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which in this case the author choose a case study of the personal hygiene awareness of waiters in Bumbu Desa, Kebon Jeruk, West Java. In this case, waiters have direct interaction with customers in a restaurant operation, which means that the awareness of personal hygiene is one big concern for the restaurant operation that is affected by many factors. SOP become a reference and guideline that used as the standard of work in an operation so that jobs can be solved in good, fast, accurate, effective & efficient manners. The primary data will be collected through observation, questionnaire and in- depth interview. The secondary data will be gathered through literature research and written information about the site. The conclusion will be done through statistic analysis. The implementation of SOP regarding personal hygiene standards and control made by management in the operation will lead to the effectiveness of SOP and the success of personal hygiene application in the work place.
